Experiments in Grasshopper
How one could generate an abstract painting using generative tools and systematic approach in the process? Starting from 3 simple geometric figures painted with watercolors, I manually created 6 configurations in a grid. Overlapping and color isolating resulted in one single sketch.
Using Grasshopper as the generative tool, I simplified each item and used those as the geometric reference points to be able to place the painted items over the algorithm to create volumetric juxtapositions and patterns.
Isolating a detail from a whole figure, I created forms based on the void and solid analysis of the volumes. These results were further explored using 3D ceramic printing in the form of extrusions.
