These series of vases are inspired by the fertility of the volcanic soil and they are the results of the second iteration of the project "(1-Hour)glass/360". The form was originally conceptualized and realized as an hourglass. As a continuation of the previous outcomes, I modified the process to create a series of vases constructed out of 1'' diameter borosilicate glass tubes that are interconnected water channels. The name of these vases is a reference to the physics principle showing that when water is in two connected basins or containers, it will eventually level out, regardless of the shape of the container or any external forces. This is because the pressure at the bottom of each container remains the same.
